WavEC welcomes SIDRI and Sino-Portuguese Centre for New Energy Technologies

WavEC had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from Shanghai Investigation, Design and Research Institute (SIDRI) and the Sino-Portuguese Centre for New Energy Technologies, right here at our headquarters in Lisbon.

SIDRI, affiliated with China Three Gorges (CTG), and the Sino-Portuguese Centre, a collaboration involving CTG and EDP, share a vital connection with our mission. The Sino-Portuguese Centre serves as EDP NEW's counterpart in China, while CTG is a leading Chinese company in renewable energy and owns a significant share of EDP.

The meeting was an opportunity to explore synergies between our organizations. We are thrilled that these entities recognize our pioneering work in offshore wind energy and our extensive experience in European projects. Together, we can drive the offshore wind energy industry forward, harnessing the power of the sea for a sustainable future.

We look forward to an exciting collaboration and to contribute to the global renewable energy landscape!
